No Fire Ban: Municipal District of Wainwright No. 61

Fire Ban for the Village of Irma: No Fire Bans are in effect

Effective Date: June 20, 2011 11:00am

The "Normal Fire Ban" previously declared on June 3, 2011 has been lifted, effective June 20, 2011.  Fire Permits can now be issued. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the M.D. of Wainwright Ofice at 780-842-4454.

Where is Irma

The Village of Irma is located within the Municipal District of Wainwright, 178 kilometers southeast of Edmonton and 29 kilometers northwest of Wainwright, in the heart of the beautiful rolling parkland of Battle River Country. Irma is situated on Highway 14 at the crossroads of Secondary Highway 881.

  
Welcome to Irma

Irma is a friendly, safe village of over 450 people located 15 minutes west of Wainwright and 90 minutes east of Edmonton on highway 14. Irma is supported by a strong economy with agriculture, oilfield activity and the Wainwright Military Base near by. With a K-12 school and excellent recreation facilities Irma offers a whole lot of living and is focused on "Looking to the Future"
